Aintree Grand National 2012

Well Easter Over Soon Be The grand National looking for some entertainment for your pub, club or community event why not hire our space hopper grand national or even our gold cup horse racing game

Our Gold Cup horse racing game is an exciting and energetic game for 4 players that is an essential part of any race night event!

Features Include:
Authentic grass-textured race course
Four hobby-horses linked to the horses on the racecourse.
Realistic horse racing commentary
Compact & easily transportable
Quick & easy one person set-up

How to play the horse racing game
On the fibreglass grass-textured racecourse there are four different coloured horses; blue, yellow, red and green. These horses are matched to a hobby horse of the same colour. The four players have to position their hobby horse in-between their legs and hold onto the handles positioned on either side of the horse’s head. At the start of the game each player or rider has to simulate a galloping motion very similar to a jockey riding a horse. The faster they gallop, the faster their horse will travel along the course to the finishing post.

Horse racing game commentary
To add to the fun and excitement during each race, players and spectators will be able to hear the very realistic horse racing commentary, which simply encourages the players to go faster. Our game is equipped with a powerful 30-watt amplifier and two high quality speakers for clarity. It also has the facility to regulate the volume to your requirements.

The aim of the horse racing game
The faster the players/riders perform the galloping movement the faster their horse travels up the racecourse towards the finishing post – the first horse to reach the finishing post is the winner! At the end of the race the winning lane will light up, and the commentary will announce the colour and the name of the winning horse. At the end of each game the horses return to their starting posts ready for the next game.

Easily transportable
The complete horse racing game is totally self-contained in a purpose built industrial flight case and is supplied complete with folding legs. As the game measures just 1.7m long x 0.8m wide and 0.35m deep  and weighs 80kgs it is easily transportable.
The Grand National (also known simply as the National) is a world-famous National Hunt horse race which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse, near Liverpool, England. It is a handicap steeplechase run over a distance of 4 miles and 856 yards (7,242 m), with horses jumping thirty fences over two circuits of Aintree’s National Course. The race has been held at Aintree each year since 1839, with the exception of 1916-1918 during the First World War when it was held at Gatwick Racecourse, 1941-1945 during the Second World War when it was called off, and in 1993 when the race was declared void owing to a false start. The next Grand National will be held on 14 April 2012.

The steeplechase is the centrepiece of a three-day meeting, one of only four run at Aintree in the racing season. It is the most valuable National Hunt event in Britain, offering a total prize fund of £975,000 in 2012. The race is popular amongst many people who do not normally watch or bet on horse racing at other times of the year.

The racecourse is triangular in shape and contains sixteen fences, all except The Chair and the Water Jump are jumped twice. The course has a reputation as the ultimate test of horse and jockey, most starters failing to complete the two circuits. Certain fences are famous for their severity, notably Becher’s Brook, The Chair, and the Canal Turn.

The National is listed on the Ofcom Code on Sports and Other Listed and Designated Events, ensuring it is broadcast live on free-to-air terrestrial television in the United Kingdom. The first radio commentary of the race was broadcast by Meyrick Good and George Allison on the Bbc in 1927;the first televised coverage was in 1960 with commentary led by Peter O’Sullevan. The BBC retained the broadcasting rights until 2012, when it was announced that Channel 4 had won a four-year deal to broadcast the race from 2013, bringing to an end the BBC’s rights to the National after 52 years. An estimated 500 to 600 million viewers watch the Grand National in over 140 countries.

The Most Reliable Rodeo Bull Hire

In the case of a Rodeo Bull hire, you really only get what you pay for. If you hire by price alone, you might find yourself with a rodeo bull that:

  • Doesn’t work properly and is unreliable.
  • Has no safety features or CCTV built in.
  • May not be insured.
  • Has no up to date test certificate.
  • Has an under-inflated, unsafe bed.
  • Is supervised and operated by untrained, inexperienced operators.
  • Has no replacement incase of a product fault (we have 3 rodeo bulls in case of emergency).
  • All our bulls are british made and are a premium quality.

For the sake of a couple of extra quid your dream party could turn into a complete nightmare.

We can go on and on… but SJ’s Leisure  has over 14 years experience of hiring the safest inflatable bouncy castles, inflatable assault courses, inflatable slides and now the most reliable and safest mechanical rodeo bull on the market. Now we’re proud to say that our mechanical bulls are made in the UK.

Deluxe Pipa Tested Range Of Bouncy Castles

Inflatable play is normally a very safe and good way for children to exercise whilst having fun.

The three elements that make for a safe inflatable play environment are:

  • Properly manufactured and maintained equipment.
  • Correct operation (pressure, siting, anchorage etc.) of the equipment.
  • Supervision

SJ’s Leisure  only uses uk made inflatables suitable for comercial use and

ensures that equipment is tested to a recognised standard both before first use and annually thereafter and checked at each hire

DO NOT forget your responsibilities as the customer because often the supervision is down to you!

Further guidance on safe use and operation of inflatable play equipment can be supplied on request

Play Safe – DOs & DON’Ts

ALWAYS

  • Have regard to the equipment’s intended use
Users that are outside the intended weight or height range can injure themselves and other users
  • Make sure the blower is at least 1.2 metres from the inflatable
Serious injury can occur if a user strikes the blower unit
  • Make sure the equipment has a current test certificate
  • Look for the PIPA Tag Or Ask for copies of test certificates and check its validity
  • Use surround mats if provided
These are provided to negate identified risks
  • Ensure that children are supervised at all times by a responsible adult
The vast majority of accidents occur through lack of, or bad supervision
  • Anchor the inflatable to the ground and ensure that you use every anchor point
Even in non-windy conditions the inflatable will move and creep (Perhaps taking it dangerously close to the blower)
  • Hire your inflatable from a reputable operator
Some will try to cut costs on safety by not anual testing – Always check
  • Follow the instructions given to you by the hirer – They are there for the safety of your children
  • Hire on the basis of the safest – Not the cheapest
  • Deflate the inflatable after use to prevent unsupervised use.

NEVER

  • Allow users to climb on to the walls
    Most accidents happen this way
  • Deflate the inflatable whilst in use
Users can strike the ground heavily if you do
  • Use the inflatable if you have any doubt as to its safety
  • Throw objects (or other people!) on to the inflatable
  • Allow users onto the inflatable in high winds

Rodeo Bull Hire

Check out our new rodeo bulls, bucking broncos and simulator rides we now even have rodeo daisy which is aimed at the under 12 year olds but can be ridden by adults as well. Rodeo bull riding is a competitive sport which arose out of the working practices of cattle herding in Spain, Mexico, and later the United States, Canada, South America and Australia. It was based on the skills required of the working vaqueros and later, cowboys, in what today is the western United States, western Canada, and northern Mexico. Today it is a sporting event that consists of events that involve horses and other livestock, designed to test the skill and speed of the human cowboy and cowgirl athletes who participate. Professional rodeos generally comprise the following events: Tie-down roping, Team Roping, Steer wrestling, Saddle bronc riding, Bareback Bronc-Riding, Bull riding and Barrel racing. The events are divided into two basic categories: the rough stock events and the timed events. Depending on sanctioning organization and region, other events such as breakaway roping, goat tying, or pole bending may also be a part of some rodeos.

Rodeo, particularly popular today within the Canadian province of Alberta and throughout the western United States, is the official state sport of Wyoming, South Dakota, and Texas. The iconic silhouette image of a “Bucking Horse and Rider” is a federal and state-registered trademark of the State of Wyoming.[1] The Legislative Assembly of Alberta has considered making rodeo the official sport of that province; however, enabling legislation has yet to be passed.[2]

In North America, professional rodeos are governed and sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) and Women’s Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA), while other associations govern children’s, high school, collegiate, and senior rodeos. Associations also exist for Native Americans and other minority groups. The traditional season for competitive rodeo runs from spring through fall, while the modern professional rodeo circuit runs longer, and concludes with the PRCA National Finals Rodeo (NFR) in Las Vegas, Nevada, now held in December.

Rodeo has provoked opposition from animal rights and animal welfare advocates, who argue that various competitions constitute animal cruelty. The American rodeo industry has made progress in improving the welfare of rodeo animals, with specific requirements for veterinary care and other regulations that protect rodeo animals. However rodeo is opposed by a number of animal welfare organizations in the United States and Canada. Some local and state governments in North America have banned or restricted rodeos, certain rodeo events, or types of equipment. Internationally, rodeo is banned in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands, with other European nations placing restrictions on certain practices.
