2017 was a fantastic year for all of the team here at SJ's Leisure. We had a great year covering a variety of events across the North-West region. 2017 saw the launch of our very popular event planning and venue dressing service. This has been a huge success and we're delighted with the hard work we've seen from our fantastic staff and also the wonderful customers we've dealt with.
2018 is a new year which brings new challenges and goals, a year which we are looking forward to and looking to build on last years successes and also improve on any aspect that we believe needs improvement.
During 2018 we'll still cover the majority of areas and locations that we've covered over the last few years and last year. As we are based in St Helens, our primary areas will always be St Helens, Warrington, Wigan, Leigh, Widnes, Ormskirk, Cronton, Prescot, Rainhill and some parts of Liverpool. We'll also look to supply to customers both new and old who continue to request our services in areas which are not particularly classed as our primary areas such as the Wirral, Bolton, Southport, Northwich, Urmston and many other surrounding areas. During the winter months, our indoor party packages are extremely popular and we're all set and ready to go with fantastic products ranging from indoor bouncy castles, soft play, electronic games, other indoor inflatables and much more. Over the last couple of months, it's been mentioned to us here at SJ's Leisure that we are a favourite of many party venues, who will insist that a customer hires from SJ's Leisure when looking to organise a party at particular party venues. The feedback we've received from caretakers has been fantastic. Reasons range from that caretakers have had positive reviews of our company or have first hand experience in dealing with our company as we've been established for twenty four years this year. They've come to realise that SJ's Leisure are a reliable company who will turn up when requested to deliver and also collect. We also provide very clean equipment with our indoor only equipment being strictly used for indoor only events, they are never inflated and used outdoors. We also carry full public liability insurance and have tested inflatable equipment and PAT tested electrical equipment which is a must for most party venues including community centres, church halls etc. Public liability insurance is not a legal requirement for a hire company but is considered best practice. We carry full public liability insurance because it is advised by the HSE, this insurance covers all of our staff when covering their duties such as setting up and packing away any of our hire products. It does not cover the supervision aspect of any hire product. Customers can, if they choose, decide to take out additional insurance for their event at their own expense and endeavours however again this is not a legal requirement nor is it something that most customers choose to do.
We advise all potential customers to please check out your hire company prior to booking, there are lots of companies in our industry who pop up at a moments notice however are they the right company to hire from? Do they have all the necessary steps in place to ensure that your hire is a safe and enjoyable one? Are they a full time company or are they looking for a little extra cash on a weekend? Is their equipment tested both inflatable and electrical? Are they reliable? Are they professional? Do they provide high quality and clean equipment? These are all questions which should be running through the heads of any potential bouncy castle hire or inflatable hire customer.
We've hired to tens of thousands of customers over a twenty four year period and although we don't always get things perfect, even though we'd like to, we always aim to please our fantastic customers and provide the very best and most reliable service. Many of our customers are returning customers who have left little notes on their online booking form mentioning that they only ever use SJ's Leisure for party events or they tell us when we arrive to set up or collect their hire product. It's fantastic to hear that we have so many loyal and gracious customers and we look to build on that. We're now hiring in some cases to parents whose own mum and dad hired inflatables and bouncy castles for their birthday party when they were a child from SJ's Leisure so that's fantastic to see and hear as well.
I've rambled on a little bit so I'm going to tie things up here. 2017 has been a fantastic year and we are hard at work to ensure that 2018 is even better!
