21 April 18 - A very hot day with lots of deliveries, testing, cleaning and maintenance!

It’s been a very busy day today with deliveries, cleaning, maintenance and testing.

An absolute scorcher of a day too for late April, but you won't find us complaining, as it gave us the best possible conditions for some annual safety testing, general cleaning and maintenance and great hire conditions for our wonderful customers across the North-West.

We've had lots of hires today with disco domes in Ashton-in-Makerfield, candy twist and slides in Wallasey, bouncy castles in St Helens, soft play in Wigan, amongst many other hires in Cheshire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside.

Today we had a range of inflatables PIPA tested and tagged to ensure they meet the highest safety standards in our industry.

PIPA is a brand of testing just like Nike is a sportswear brand, however, PIPA is seen as the most stringent safety testing and has the convenience of an online testing database so customers can check the safety test online. With our snazzy website, you can actually click on a product and if it has a valid PIPA test, you will see a logo in the top right hand corner and if you click that you can then view the PIPA certificate.

ALL INFLATABLES NEED TO BE ANNUALLY TESTED TO ENSURE THAT THEY ARE SAFE TO USE.

Inflatables must meet the EU / UK safety standard BS EN 14960 : 2013. This is the standard for commercial inflatables and not like inflatables that you can buy from Argos etc which are toys and not suitable for commercial hire.

You wouldn’t hire a car with two flat tyres and no MOT would you? If you wouldn’t, don’t hire an inflatable without an annual safety test. It’s your right to ask to see the certificate from your hire company.

During this past week, Steve and Ian have also undergone industry training to gain an accreditation from the RPII (Registered Play Inspectors International). The course concerned the safe set up and supervision of inflatables and inflatable bouncy castles. The course was a renewal for Steve who has previously gained the accreditation and a first for Ian. By passing the course, they can now pass on their knowledge and in-house train the rest of our staff so that we can continue to provide the safest and highest quality of service.

Over the coming weeks, we'll be proudly showing off our RPII operators, supervisors and attendants accreditation and there will also be a web-link to see a list of registered companies. This accreditation is very important as many insurance companies are now stating that all inflatable hire companies have this accreditation to ensure that they are working to the highest standards and ensuring that safety is paramount.
